Android Angry Birds Review

angry birds review image

Angry Birds is an Android powered game, available freely on the Android Market, aimed at the masses. It’s a pretty simple and straightforward game with graphics that surely appeal to most ages. As you might have guessed it, the name pretty much gives it away – it’s a game in which a handful of “angry birds” take revenge on foul pigs, by knocking down their defensive structures.

In this version of Angry Birds you are given 4 types of birds which you can slingshot with:

  • red birds – present in most levels, standard starter ammunition to fling at your enemies in the beginning, good at knocking down stuff.
  • blue birds – present starting with 3rd level, feature a unique ability – while in mid air, press on the screen and the bird will split in 3.
  • yellow birds – present starting with 6th level and above, feature a unique ability – while in mid air, press on the screen and the bird will accelerate for a more powerful impact.
  • black birds – present starting with 10th level and above, feature a unique ability – when you press on the screen, they explode destroying surrounding objects, has a pretty decent AoE (area of effect) so make the most of it.

Angry Birds has around 200 levels, each level has a three-star ranking system; to get the perfect rating you’ll have to produce maximum havoc by knocking down the pigs with as little birds as possible. It might sound easy at first but it takes some skill to pull it off. Also, if you’re aiming for the game’s “Hall of Fame”, getting high scores and three-star ratings gives you a higher chance to unlock Angry Birds Golden Eggs, hidden bonuses for rocking the game’s socks.
